Didn't get an answer on the big board so maybe I will get some bites here:

When I set up a new account with a sportsbook am I required to take the sign up bonus (if there is one) and therefore abide by a bonus rollover rule or can I just say i don't want to the bonus?

Thanks ....

Some allow you not to take bonus and then just turn
your money over once before a wd, you must speak with
each one individually. I think most would allow you to
do this.

You are not required to accept the bonus and 1% is pretty standard. I have been known to refuse bonuses as well.

Thanks guys ... I guess the question is why not take a bonus if you are going to be wagering there for a while ... seems like free money so might as well take it if the roll over is reasonable.

Thanks again for the info...

I was never a fan of getting locked in on a rollover requirement. Then again, if you take a bonus and decide you need to make a withdrawal before the rollover is met, usually most places will send you the money minus the bonus and fees. In a way you still get a bonus because you made winnings off of the bonus money.

When you are starting off the bonuses are what keeps you going. Once you get to a 5 or 10 K bank roll the bonuses are far less important. Most places are only a 3 x roll with an average bonus. Grab those bonuses and scalp out with another book.
